Learning Resources Pretend and Play School Set

The Pretend and Play School Set was designed for children who love playing school.  According to most of the parents who have reviewed this toy, it is a huge success.  Their children have returned to play with it again and again.  They enjoy playing school with their friends and will even line up their stuffed animals or dolls as students!

The school set comes as a convenient tri-fold board with handles and a velcro closure for easy setup and storage.  All the pieces can be stored inside. It includes a grade book, worksheets for spelling and math, report cards, “Good Job” stickers, hall passes, clock with movable hands, bell, dry erase board and eraser, handpointer, crayons, pencils, double-sided calendar with weather and double-sided map.

It is recommended for children between the ages of 6 and 9 years old. Younger children may enjoy playing with it too, but may not understand all of the pieces such as the hall passes.  The Pretend and Play School Set is not for children under 3 years of age as it contains small parts which may be a choking hazard.

Parents were delighted that the School Set encourages their children to use their imaginations, while having a lot of fun.   Children enjoy being the “teacher”. The fact that it requires no batteries or electricity to operate makes it environmentally friendly and inexpensive to use.  It’s also very easy to pack up and put away or take with you for entertainment while on vacation or visiting relatives or friends.

If your child does not really enjoy school, this may be the way to help you spark some interest in learning, especially if you are part of the play experience.  Let your child be “in charge” as the teacher and you be the student.  It might be a fun and educational experience for both of you!
